degree verses skills

What is more important degree or knowledge?

To be successful in life, a person should have knowledge along with degree. A degree without knowledge is as futile as knowledge without a degree. Everyone having knowledge may not have degree, similarly everyone having degree may not have knowledge. https://foxfoster.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Students-63328-1.mp4 WHAT IS DEGREE? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? A degree is an authenticate certificate by which one can get a job. It gives us confidence by which our personality gets enhanced. A person having a degree gets respect and reputation. Higher the degree, higher is the post and hence higher will be the package and status. Also, a person having a knowledge without a degree, won’t be hired by the anyone. For example‐ A person may be very good electrician but since he hasn’t any qualification, he won’t be called an engineer and won’t be hired by anyone instead of an engineer. We have heard from the very first day of our school that it’s important to score good to be successful in our lives. One common and admanent question asked by our parents to all of us is‐ How much have you scored? /What is your rank? It means, every single time, our degree is being asked by our parents and teachers. But But having a degree really guarantee a job? Is it worth it? There was a time when people were appointed for a job on the basis of their degree. But, nowadays, having a degree is no longer a guarantee to be successful. Let’s say you’re looking for a job, your first step for this would be to submit your resume and on the basis of your resume you’ll be get a call. Then, do they give you the joining letter on the basis of your degree mentioned in the resume? No, they don’t. Inspite of having your resume in hand, you’ll be called for an interview. So, why do they call for the interview round? Isn’t your degree sufficient yourself perfect for the post of that particular job? What do you think, why is it so? Because, knowledge is equally important. WHAT IS KNOWLEDGE? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? Knowledge is the information acquired through the theoretical or practical understanding of something such as facts, skills, education or experience. A bit of paper cannot decide one’s knowledge. The limitation of a degree is that it doesn’t prove that you have knowledge. That’s why, job aspirants have to go through the interview round. It is knowledge which lifts up a person in his/her life. Knowledge is what helps you to achieve your target in the long run. One can take a first step without knowledge but in the long run, it’s not going to be fruitful for an individual. Suppose you’re selected for a job on the basis of your degree but you don’t have much knowledge, will you be able to continue to your job? Without knowledge, one can’t succeed in life, even the most successful persons‐ Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos has not any degree or certificates, however they are the successful personalities. CONCLUSION: A degree without a knowledge is nothing but a mere piece of paper. Having knowledge doesn’t imply that you’ll have degree rather you will be a successful personality for sure. Degree has its own importance because today we’re living in a world where we need to prove ourselves. Many times, degree is needed to start the career. So, degree may be the first step for you to start, knowledge takes time but ultimately, it will take you to the final destination. Degree makes us to differentiate between the knowledge and information, on the other side, knowledge gives us wisdom and makes us to differentiate between right or wrong. “The larger the island of Knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder.” Thanks For Reading

Tips on how to study smartly?

How to study smartly? You must have heard or known that one should prefer studying smart over hard but How ?And how much would it benefit over the way you are currently doing the things. So here is the answer according to the book “the art of memory “ people remember the things what they question for like “how”, “When” would I need this information just like the way you start memorizing things just before exam at a high rate because of the urgency and our brain responds to urgency very well whether its an college assignment submission date or last night of exam . The next thing is repetition its fairly important because if we repeat a thing over and over it eventually get transferred from our subconscious to our permanent memory the reason is if we repeat any thing again and again, our brain takes this information to be very important just like our own “Names” and that is the way memory graph works . So in application of this in real life you can remember a thing at once then repeat it after a particular time interval like pick  the first one to be half an hour, the next one after next sleep and then after two days and finally after a week this would ensure you that have learnt fair amount of information. The next thing is whatever you learn try to teach it to the person with absolute zero amount of knowledge about that thing this would make you breaking down of the complex concepts in a simple way and at a same time it would help you to cross check whether you are having proper knowledge or not. At last take breaks during your studies and ensure you are having a fair amount sleep because sleep affects the efficiency of our mind In whole lot of ways because lack of sleep takes our person’s ability to focus and problem solving ability and sleep is that time which makes transference of information from subconscious to permanent memory. WHY DO THE MAJORITY FAIL IN JEE/NEET EXAM?

HURDLES TO JEE/NEET PREPARATION JEE/NEET is central level competitive exam conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) every year. If you see, you will come to know that every one of the two students are preparing for it because it provides a good carrier option to the meritorious students. Every year a large number of Indian youth do register for JEE/NEET, this number is increasing with the time. According to the reports, almost 22 lakh candidates have registered for the JEE Main 2021 and a total of 15,97,433 candidates had registered for NEET‐UG 2020. Every year the seats are increasing, yet the ratio of failures is approximately same. Do you know the reasons for this? Here is why‐ When you were in class 10th (matriculation), you had one book each of your five subjects. But, as you enter in class 11th, the volume as well as the number of books increases. For instance‐ there are two volumes of mathematics NCERT and in addition to that, you have RD Sharma, Coaching materials and PYQs (Previous Year Questions) and same for other subjects also in Class 11th only. So, there is a sudden increase in the syllabus compared to the junior classes and the complexity has also increased. Now, coming to the reasons ‐ Most important thing, you have started preparing now in class 11th for JEE/NEET, whereas most students have started their preparation for the same from class 6th or class 9th and you are going to compete with these candidates. Coaching institutes don’t care about your results. Parents send their children to coaching institutes for their studies, but they don’t know that top faculties are provided to one or two top batches. It is not revealed but every coaching has one top batch in which there are only 10 to 20 students, who holds a good rank in the coaching and they are provided 10‐15 top faculties 24*7, so these students give top results. The rest are only to provide financial support to the coaching. Self‐study time is much lesser than the tuitions time. From 24 hours, you sleep for 8 hours, 4 hours for bathing, cleaning, eating and other stuffs. Now, you have 12 hours in you hand and in that 12 hours you go to school, coaching, private tuitions and then how much time you have in your hand for self‐study, this is making a big difference; you are studying and you also know the topics very well but you are not doing self‐study and this is a blunder. Students don’t ask doubts, either they are waiting for someone to ask from their side or simple they don’t ask because their thought is that they will be judged. There are only 5% students who ask their doubts and hence they grow and perform well. They waste time in travelling due to which they feel tired and so are not able to study well. Parents take wrong decisions, i.e., they send their children out of the state to study. There are many distractions there and if the child fails to understand any topic or subject, then he/she don’t pay much attention in studies. Not all teachers are good. The teacher who is teaching you is not good then you start hating as you don’t know the concepts of that subject and as a result, it will lead to the bad score in examination. Some students only dream but not really work. I think, I don’t need to explain it further because if only dreaming gives success in one’s life, then why are we at work? Out of the total, the real competition is only with the 6 lakhs candidates. Many have the misconception, Medical/IIT sets life. So, they are just following the trend but they have nothing to do with the studies. Parents should not put their decision on their kid. Many students are preparing just because of their parents or you can say they are doing nothing but carrying load. Students should know their strong and weak subjects. Many are failing to crack the exam because they don’t know which one to focus more and which to less. Some students focus on theory more, they don’t do questions. They take things for granted, i.e., they think I know the theory and so I can solve all the questions but when they try to solve the questions, they fail. Now, we have got to know the reasons that are pulling you off from achieving your goal. So, what could be the solutions to the above problem. SOLUTIONS TO THE ABOVE PROBLEM: ‐ Choose your teacher wisely. You need a teacher who can lift you up, anyone can make topper a topper but it’s hard to make an average student a topper. Make a routine to properly manage your time. It is very important as you will come to know which task is taking so long. Make a plan but don’t over‐plan because it will leave you with burden only and nothing else. Give enough time for studying each subject and in case you have any weak subject then give little more focus to that subject. Make tests your regular habit and also analyze what you have learnt. Keep on revising the subjects. There is no any other alternative for revision, so, keep revising till last day. Utilize your free time and stay away from distractions, if you are more than distracted then you can turn off the notifications and also you can put parental lock. Don’t submerge yourself with stress. You can de‐stress yourself by switching on to your favorite music. Follow a right strategy and work hardly but smartly because there is no substitute for hard work. Do not hesitate in asking your doubts. Avoid time wasting in travelling. Give enough time to your self‐study. Get familiar with the exam pattern. You can go for an online educational platform as it has a number of benefits. Here, you will have a number of teachers, so you can

How will cancelation of board exam affect the future of students?

HOW THE CANCELLATION OF CBSE BOARD EXAMS AFFECT THE FUTURE OF STUDENTS? After thinking a lot, there was a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Education Minister and top officiers on 14th April, 2021 after which the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2021 are cancelled.  CBSE Class 12th Board Exams 2021 have been postponed. It is due to the second wave of COVID. Exam dates for class 12th will be declared 15 days before the conducting the exams copyright WHAT WILL BE THE BASIS FOR EVALUATION BY CBSE? The result of class 10th CBSE for the academic year 2020‐2021 will be declared on the basis of objectives set by the board. An assessment scheme consisting of some set of rules will be created by CBSE for objective criterion. More updates will be given on the official website of CBSE – www.cbse.gov.in . Now, the question comes isWHAT ABOUT THE STUDENTS WHO WILL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH THEIR RESULT? Unsatisfactory, students can appear at the optional CBSE 10th Board exams later, when conducted in future, in case conditions will be better. IS THE CANCELLATION RIGHT OR NOT?  From Student’s point of view‐ The cancellation of delayed Board exams is not a permanent solution in the long term. This cancellation can’t be a solution as the Board has cancelled the examination this year but what if this situation continues? So, instead of cancellation, the Board could have thought of some other alternative. There are many options to test the intelligence of the students like interviews, assignments. Also, we can think of something new according to the current situation as the situation is demanding right now. Because, no one would have thought about this pandemic situation and we can’t predict how much time will it last for. Now, just think of the students who really worked hard for the exams and also they had mentally prepared themselves in spite of studying in online mode, they had worked really very hard. Most probably, students work hard for their final examination even if they score low in half‐yearly and pre‐boards. So, this cancellation will be like a compromise for the meritorious students and hence they are depressed from this decision. But, it has another aspect also, as we all know, the syllabus was reduced by 30% due to the online mode of study but still, there are some students who didn’t prepare for their Board exams, it is a good news for them and why are the Board exams conducted? Board exam provides a fair and equal chance to every students’ intellect and intelligence. So, is the basis of evaluation right? Is the cancellation of Boards right? What do you think? From this pandemic’s point of view‐ If we see from the point of view of this pandemic situation, we really can’t ignore this situation and from the point of view of this pandemic, I think it was necessary for our well‐being. As we know, this new strain of noble Corona virus is affecting youngsters the most and it is proved, according to a new report, this new wave of COVID is mainly targeting young people as most of the cases reported is of youngsters under 20 years of age. That’s why, seriously, it was left with nothing but this choice only. Of course, examination is always good for the evaluation. If we look at the current situation, it is good to give results on the basis of objective criterion. So, from this point of view, it’s really a sensible decision. AFFECT OF THE CANCELLATION OF BOARDS ON THE FUTURE OF STUDENTS Now, the scenario is‐ Students are taking their studies for granted. Because, we all know that the government has told to pass all the students and give promotion for their next class. Even the hard working students are not very serious about their studies as the studies are going in online mode and so the exams are. We all know about the online mode of examination; students use unfair means to pass and so the students think if all will get approximately same marks then why should we pay much attention? Even after all these things, there are students for whom their studies is everything. So, they are paying attention towards their studies and they are also learning new skills online, which is really appreciable and they will be benefited by it in future. But what about the future of students who are taking admission in the college this year? Many students go to college after 10th Boards for their higher studies and they are admitted on the basis of marks obtained in their 10th Boards. So, it may be that many deserving candidates will not be able to take admission in the college which they deserve. So, it may affect their future in the long term. However, we must make sure that this pandemic should not have any negative impact on the health of students’. As we all know “Health is wealth.” SOME KEY POINTS FOR THE STUDENTS DURING THIS PANDEMIC SITUATION. Students should not be depressed.  Stay motivated and always keep in mind that this was not the last chance to prove yourself, you’ll get many opportunities in life to prove yourself.
