STAGES TO BE FOLLOWED TO BECOME A COMMERCIAL PILOT FROM BEGINING– There are some steps which need to be followed thoroughly while pursuing an airline career. Some limitations and some requirements needs to filled in aviation which includes our PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, MENTAL, THEORETICAL and obviously PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS. The stages are listed further in a sequence. It will give you an easy pathway to go through in meeting all the requirements. 1. MEDICAL CLASS 2::- Everyone who is willing to start his/her career in aviation should take the CLASS 2 medical test as their first step. Getting medically examined by the authorised DGCA doctors is the first step to get into this field. Candidates just have to go to DGCA website, there DGCA has listed the doctor’s name with their contact number and email Id, you have to take a suitable appointment, approach the clinic for the test and get the CLASS 2 medic test done. List of doctors who does CLASS 2 Medic test 2. APPLY FOR COMPUTER NUMBER::- After completing Class 2 medical, you have to apply for COMPUTER NUMBER. It is an easy process of registering yourself and then you will get an unique ID, through which you will be able to login further pages for further formalities. After logging into it you have to submit the documents as per DGCA requirements. Submitting documents is a little bit complicated as DGCA has limited the size of documents files. Then DGCA will scrutinize those files and if your documents are found correct as a next step you have to send those documents physically to DGCA office at Delhi through a speed post. Then DGCA will take even a month tk scrutinize your documents and after that they will issue you a ID which is known as COMPUTER NUMBER. 3. CREATE eGCA LOGIN::- This is a digital step which can be done easily. It is the easiest step to do. It is just logging yourself on the eGCA website. It is a registration website. You have to submit some documents as per requirements and register yourself there. 4. GROUND CLASSES::- There are some subjects to be read thoroughly and of which you should have thorough knowledge. You need to have knowledge about many topics and subjects related to your career before getting a license. The subjects are:- ● NAVIGATION ● METEOROLOGY ● AIR REGULATIONS ● TECHNICAL GENERAL ● TECHNICAL SOECIFIC You have to take ground classes of these subjects to clear the DGCA exam easily. Some people stay at home and study by themselves and they do clear the examinations, but preferably you should take ground classes of these subjects. There are many coaching institutes which teach these subjects. You can go to any institute and get thorough knowledge about these important subjects. 5. CLEARING EXAMS BY DGCA::- As soon as you are done with your ground classes, you should apply for DGCA examinations which are conducted online in almost every city by DGCA every three months. Almost all the main cities have centres for this examination. There is a certain amount of fees which you have to pay to sit in this examination. There are no limitations on attempting this examination, you can apply for multiple times. 6. MEDICAL CLASS 1::- This is the highest and toughest level of test you have to clear in medicals. It is the highest level of certificate in reference of which you will get your COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE. After done with CLASS 2 medical and all of DGCA examinations you have to apply for CLASS 1 medicals. This is only done at AIR FORCE HOSPITALS and some PRIVATE HOSPITALS. But here is a cache, you could get a date of even a month or two ago. CLASS 1 is a tough medical examination to clear, in this your full body, heart beat, pulse rate, blood pressure, TSH, ECG, urine test, blood test, eye, will be tested deeply. Your full body structure will be checked by doing an X-ray. If you meet all the requirements then only you will be given CLASS 1 medical certificate 7. FLYING TRAINING::- Only after getting the CLASS 1 certificate do you go for flying training. It is unreasonable and foolish of them to first do their flying training and then apply for CLASS 1 medical. Remember you can be a pilot only when you have a CLASS 1 medical certificate and flying training costs approx. 40 lakhs INR, so after done with your training if you fail in meeting the requirements of CLASS 1 medical then you will not be able to become a commercial pilot and your whole money will be wasted.
