Stampede in Seoul At least 149 dead

The stampede happened at Itaewon, a very popular district in Seoul, South Korea.

10,000 people were expected to gather in the neighborhood, to celebrate the worldwide-known Halloween celebrations.

The surge happened when people in large numbers moved to a narrow alley for bars and restaurants from the main road.

The total number of deaths is still unclear but, till now, 149 young adults have lost their life.

President Yoon Suk Yeol has called a meeting and ordered the officials to deploy responders and secure beds for the injured.

Saturday's stampede is one of the deadliest crowd disaster in  South Korea.
