The climate protesters threw soup on the Gogh's 'Sunflowers' painting in London's National Gallery on Friday.

The protesters did this to protest against the extraction of fossil fuel.

The painting didn't got damaged as it was protected with glass.

The protesters group wants the British government to stop new oil and gas projects.

"There is some minor damage to the frame, but the painting is unharmed." Said the Gallery.

The painting was then cleaned and returned to its original place in the gallery on Friday.

This painting is one of the several versions of "Sunflowers" by Van Gogh.

Van Gogh painted this painting in the late 1880s.

London police arrested two people on the suspicion of damage and trespass.
