R. Umamaheswaran,the director of the agency human spaceflight, during his talk with the Indian Space Congress revealed that ISRO will initiate a series of test flights for the mission Gaganyaan in February.
He added that Gaganyaan is not an Indian program but, a collaboration between different countries such as Russia, France and Australia for the training of the Astronauts and the components for the mission.
He further said that the Indian Space Research Organization is preparing for their first human flight by end of 2024 or early 2025.
He told that the astronauts are under training in Russia before undergoing training in Bengaluru.
ISRO has planned 17 different tests before carrying out its unmanned space flight.
The Centre director of Space reforms said that opening the space industry post the reforms have witnessed active and increased participation from private players in the Space industry.
