Unilever Plc has recalled aerosol dry shampoo products from various companies.
Benzene, which is a cancer-risk chemical has been found in some amounts in these shampoos.
Dove, Tresemme, Tigi and Suave are some of those companies.
On the released notice, by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it has been informed that these shampoos are contaminated by the potential Cancer-risk chemical.
This observation has brought personal hygiene and care products under attention.
The retailers have been informed to take the products down from the shelves and have asked the consumers to be careful in selecting the products.
Though, no correct for Benzene has been notified by the authorities, but, health experts have asked the companies to refrain from using such hazardous chemicals.
